Whoehoeh, we did it, we made a gorgeous book with 8 Dutch artists about our country, Typical Dutch themes to color.
A honor to our Red, White and Blue flag, with of course our Typical orange streamer. There are so many things in The Netherlands that we Dutchies our proud of, or that is famous in the world that I thought, it should be a great theme book…So I. Johanna Ans invited Arianne Schimmel, Peggy Sue Karunding, Ellen Wolters, Sabine van Ee, Mireille Westerduin, Marieke Raterman and Inge Boogaers to work with me on this book…and damn, we are proud of it!

The cover is a mix from 3 artists, and I show you the originals first…
Frontcover is made by 2 artists…. Start with Peggy Sue, colored by Johanna Ans, used Derwent Graphitint & Derwent Inktense

The second artist on the frontcover is Mireille Westerduin, gorgeous colored by Karin Speijer Kamp

We worked very hard all together, the artistst but also our colorists, Karin Speijer Kamp, Wendy Hofstee, Carla den Otter, Nancy van Acker, Wendy Danko and Manuela Bremer and we as artists colored with them… the whole book is done! So there will be more blogs, with a lot of inspiration for all of you…. Let’s start with this gorgeous drawing from Peggy Sue, our famous Vincent van Gogh, o my, colored by Inge Boogaers, so beautiful!

I also colored this Vincent drawing, using van Gogh Sketch pencils and Koh-I-Noor Gioconda Sketch…different than normal pencils, just to try… and I colored on special paper, a grey paper special for Sketch and Graphite pencils. I show it in a video!
The next beautiful drawing is done by Sabine van Ee, we love our landscape with cows and tulips, beautiful picture with both of them! For me it was the first time that I colored a cow, and than in this big size, used van Gogh Pastel & pencils. I choosed the “red” cow. Manuela Bremer colored the grey cow…. I love them both!
The next drawing is from Inge Boogaers, love the lot of details, and I colored it with Stabilo 68

Typisch Nederlands: Kleuren voor volwassenen (Dutch Edition)
Het eerste typische Nederlands aan dit Global Doodle Gems boek, is natuurlijk het feit dat we allemaal Nederlandse tekenaars zijn. Het idee ontstond het Dutchie team samen te brengen in 1 boek, de tekenaars en onze inkleurders ! We nemen jullie mee op reis door ons Nederland, van Kinderdijk naar Amsterdam, via Hindeloopen naar Delft. Natuurlijk mogen onze typisch Nederlandse lekkernijen ook niet ontbreken, het haringhappen, drop en schuimblokken, snert met roggebrood en natuurlijk onze bitterballen. We zijn een land van molens en windmolens, van water en vergezichten en van vaste gewoontes zoals ons Sinterklaasfeest. Op de fiets door de tulpenvelden is een typisch Nederlandse bezigheid.Wij wensen jullie heel plezier met jullie toeristische, kleurrijke tour door ons kikkerlandje.

Typical Dutch: Adult Coloring Book
The first typical Dutch in the Global Doodle Gems line, in this book our Dutch artists are represented. The book brings together the Dutchie team. We take you on a journey through our country The Netherlands, from Kinderdijk to Amsterdam, via Hindeloopen to Delft. Of course our typical Dutch delicacies may not be missing, the herring bite, drop and foam blocks, pea soup with rye bread and of course our bitterballen. We are a land of mills and windmills, water and vistas and fixed habits like our Sinterklaas party. On the bike through the tulip fields is a typical Dutch occupation.We wish you lots of fun with your tour through our little country !
